Enamelware LOVE!!

In one of my first posts I wrote about other people's collections, and my interest in collections in general. I just like to see or learn what other people amass (I'm always very curious). If I were the one collecting, enamelware in all its shapes and sizes is probably what I would have in my home! There is a tiny problem, I don't have a lot space, and we move too much.  But then again, I like just having a few pieces, buying something every year.  Isn't that the way collections are born?

I found this beautiful shop many years ago, and I'm always drawn to it. The music, the colors, the atmosphere, everything about it, is splendorous. Just off the Albert Cuypmarket and you are in another place, enamelware heaven! Besides carrying plenty of enamelware from many places like Ghana, Poland, China and Holland, they also have beads, music, rugs, and baskets for sale. Behind the counter is Roberto, the nicest man to have a conversation with on a rainy afternoon! What more can you ask for?

Is there something that you would love to have in big amounts if money or space were no object?

Happy Collecting!
Giova

P.S: Oh, and if your curious about what music was playing the day I was there; it is from Kanda Bongo Man from his King of Kwassa Kwassa album!
REMEMBER THERE IS STILL TIME FOR THE GIVEAWAY!!
