Yellow Green Farmers Market

Nothing like a visit to a farmer's market to spend your weekend. I was really surprised to find such an incredible place in the middle of nowhere (I have been spending a lot of time in Miami lately). The vendors are super friendly and everything thats sold is incredibly fresh as you can expect and just what you might be craving.

Theres live music and samples galore! And the food simply delicious. I think every market deserves a chance and when they turn out great...they've gained you for a long time to come.

Any exciting plans for the weekend? Are you a regular at your farmers market?

Zen for a day

A quick drive north and we are in Japan, just for the day! The Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens is located in Delray Beach and it is a must!!! As you enter the main house you feel as if you've been transported through a gate to another country. The museum is beautiful, the library has an incredible selection of books and the shop is a 'little slice of heaven'. Continue on to the Roji-en and now this is not a slice of heaven but the entire cake! Complete with a pond, cascade, gates, bonsai exhibition, bamboo grove, bridges, koi fishes...mesmerizing.
*My favorite doll: The Peach Boy. *Koi and turtle filled pond.
thats my boyfriend in the shadow, not my mom (winkwink)
*While walking around this beautiful heron wouldn't leave my mom's side.
After you've taken your time walking and appreciating every garden's beauty, there is a restaurant that offers japanese beer, sake and delicious food to unwind. Its truly an inspiring visit!
Have you been to any new museums or seen an amazing exhibition lately?

Have a great day!
Giannina.

PS: Right now there is an exhibition on Japanese Dolls and Theater which I highly recommend-my mom and I wanted to take all the dolls with us!

Clearwater, Florida

Usually when we travel to Miami to visit my mother we don't visit any other cities. Luckily, this year my husband's friend was in Florida as well and we decided to go for a visit! The drive to Clearwater is only 4 hours and so very, very worth it! It was the week of my birthday and my one and only wish was to be able to spend most of the day swimming and watching the sunset (which I did). Since the sun doesn't set on Miami's ocean,  I was really looking forward to this. It was beautiful (I've never been to Clearwater before), and the weather cooperated every day (summer is rainy season in Florida)!
Here are some of my favorite things!

 Two friends with their sons.

We actually got to swim with dolphins without paying. They came really close, and it was the most amazing feeling for all of us. Such a treat! Obviously the day they got close I didn't have my camera with me. The dolphins here are from another day.

Bird watching is amazing, especially when you can get close and they don't mind.

White and orange umbrellas looked so well together!

Shelling is my favorite activity of all, and there were plenty of beautiful shells here.

I don't know what it is about lifeguard stations, but I really like looking at them.

This one (I think) doesn't hold anyone anymore, but beautiful nonetheless.

A free turtle minding her own business, so cool!

Have a wonderful day!
