14 Years Together

My husband very kindly told me this morning; "Is it really our 14th anniversary?" and "When we were in high school did you ever imagine us together and for this long"? Well, yes to the first and no to the second.

It is not that I didn't have high hopes for us both, but I never wanted to look more ahead than the day we were at. Taking one day at a time, as they say.

In any case or rather in my case I'm happy and grateful we picked each other, and that we were friends first, and thankfully continue to be.

for letting me sleep in
and making me laugh each and every day
for not taking my mood swings personally
and giving me time to craft
for understanding this crazy mind of mine
and for allowing me to be… me.

Te Amo todos los dias y estoy feliz por estos 14 años juntos.

I wish I had ivory to give to you today, but (si tuviera un huevo yo te lo fritaba, pero que hago…).

I'm a bit over sharing today, which is not the normal thing here on the blog, but then again I'm not too fond of "normal."
