From Pinterest to Reality

I spend quite a lot of time "pinning" or simply looking at Pinterest. And as much as I love it,  I sometimes wish I had the time to actually do some of the stuff that I pin.

I finally decided it was time to do the one thing that had been in the back of mind since I first joined Pinterest.

It took me a few hours here and there. My big problem was that the handkerchief I chose was too thin and the stitches kept moving and holes were starting to appear. But other than that, it was just quite a very relaxing project.

I love how it looks, and I'm so glad I forced myself to do this now, otherwise my 12 year old's hand would have been my size.

There is not one straight stitch if you look up close... So don't look up too close.

This is the pinned image that was sitting there in my "craft ideas" board. This embroidery was actually made by Detroit Mommy. So thank you so much Detroit Mommy for sharing your work and inspiring people like me!

Two of my favorite pinners are Deborah and Mary, simply because of the variety of things they pin. They keep it very interesting for me.

Do you have a favorite "pinner" that you would like to share with me? I would love to have a look.

I'm here if you want to follow me. And this is a very useful post on "pinning."

Have a relaxing sunday.

  2. Pero que "belleza". Me encanta todo. Los colores, la textura, "el fundamento".... los recuerdos en hilos.
