Have you ever seen
Fiddler on the Roof? Well, I have. Many times. I think it is one of my father's favorite movies (yes, it is a musical about jewish traditions and life). And no, I'm not jewish, but that is not really the point. Tradition!! Tradition!! Sings Tevye. Those are really the only words I remember, and of course the man on the roof, but when you are little you don't really understand what anything is really about, you just go about your day like any other kid. Then you reach a certain age and you start to think about certain things, like Panettone for instance, how when it comes the 1st of December you need it. Like it is calling your name from afar. Perhaps it is the short memories of my Italian grandfather? I don't know really. All I know it is tradition! And as such, it must be continued. So yes, it is still not the 1st, but one day before won't hurt the tradition. I think.
Because of traditions we've kept our balance for many, many years!
-Tevye (Fiddler on the Roof)
Some people get their Christmas decorations out on the first (like me), some start earlier than that. What about you? Any traditions that you want to share? I'd love to hear!
Starting tomorrow until the 24th we'll be sharing a Christmas image, a sort of advent calendar with you. Hope you like it!
Have a great weekend!
