Dutch Cookies

There is a cookie culture here, or so I've been told (several times). At the supermarket the other day while looking for a specific cookie, I asked a random person about this cookie culture, and she laughed. Then said to me; "I guess you are right, we tend to always have cookies and coffee in the afternoons." Then I asked my brother's wife (she is Dutch) and started mentioning a long list of cookies that fill the cookie tins (not jars) of Holland.
Since I have a weakness for cookies, and I really like some of the ones below, I thought I showed you a bit of Holland through some of their cookies. I haven't attempted to make any of them, they sell them every where and they make them so good, so why bother?

There are two great places where you can find some of the above cookies: Freshly made stroopwafels can be found in the Albert Cuypmarket, (next week, more on that).
For all the res,t go to the Lanskroom, a really nice place to enjoy cookies and coffee. Do you like cookies?? Do you have a favorite one??

Have a great weekend!  I for one will be eating quite a lot of cookies.

Yum. Except the Eierkoeken...those are too dry for my taste! We should do an International Snail Mail Cookie Exchange!

    1. They are really nice, but I've only seen them at Lanskroom, maybe that is why you haven't tried them:)
