Business Cards at Alt Summit

I'm back from my trip to the US, and I want to get started by showing you one of my favorite things; the little piece of paper or other type of material that gets handed out with the hope that it will be remembered, perhaps cause a stir or an "oh, how lovely" remark.
Business cards are always a delight to look at, for me they are just an expression of the person who is handing them to you. And there was no shortage of expression at Alt.

It was really fun looking at them on the three magnetic walls that Alt had created for this purpose, just to showcase all the exceptional cards that were being handed out by all the attendees of the conference.

I tried dividing them between where and when I got each, but this is as far as I got. The first dinner hosted by Airheads was where I met all these lovely cards, and of course the girls behind each.

Then the next day I got more cards, maybe at a lunch or a panel (jet lag played tricks on my memory). It is a good thing that I didn't exchange many, otherwise I wouldn't remember who they were from, and I believe an important part of the conference is to connect with people and not just hand out cards for the sake of it.

I think they are all beautiful because they represent a blog, an idea, someone who wants to stand out using a small piece of paper. To me they all achieved that, because when I look at them, I can remember perfectly what kind of exchange we had when we handed our cards.

Is there a design here that you think is just great, amazing, beautiful?

I'm hoping this weekend I can get back my internal clock to normal while spending time with my little ones, whom I've missed like crazy.
Have a great weekend!

  1. Gorgeous cards. It seems like a pretty amazing conference. Did you get to meet Jen from Classic Play in the end?

    1. I didn't actually met her, but I do have a very embarrassing story regarding this, I confused Classic Play with Playful Learning, and well I'll tell it to you when I see you!

    1. Si la cantidad de tarjetas, era la cantidad de asistentes que bordeaba en lo ridiculo.

  4. Oh I see my card! I'm still going through my collection and having so much fun looking at all the blogs. It's kind of like going through treats bags on Halloween, but instead of sorting candy I'm sorting bloggers.

    1. I still haven't found time to look at all the blogs, but it will be very interesting I suppose. And you are right, it is like sorting through a candy bag. Some cards really deserve to be displayed.

  6. hahah it is like a Halloween treat bag! I actually have mine on my desk right now. Giova, I think you are so right about actually talking with someone you give a card to. A lot of people introduced themselves and then gave me a card and that's all I really got. I love the conversation and want to work on quality over quantity next year!

    1. I think the conversation part is the nicest part, otherwise, even if you have a beautiful card that it's all it ends up being!
