Did I hear gasps and gulps? It is what you're thinking! I happen to have one for more than 12 years already. The relationship has seen it's bumps of course, I think it comes with the territory, but mostly it has been quite a smooth ride (thank God!).
We don't live in the same city, and it might seem like a good thing, but really it is not. My children and my husband miss her like crazy, I enjoy her pleasant company and try to learn from her every time she visits. She has been here for a month already, and since I've been trying to become more of a "crafty lady," she has been showing me the way. We've baked, sewn pillow cases, crocheted doilies (her), and had a beginners course in granny squares (me).
I'm thankful for her kindness and positive disposition always. I just wish and can only hope to be as good as her when my time comes to be a mother in law!!
What about you? What are the activities you do with your mother in law? What are the things you have in common? I would love to hear your experiences!
Happy Monday!
