Rare Bird - Gift Store in Amsterdam

Last week while out and about I came upon (by chance and luck since I rarely venture out into this area of Amsterdam) a gem of a store. When I say a gem, I mean my type entirely. Paper, washi-tapes, stationery, mugs, plates, party decorations, really all the things I like.
To make it even nicer, the owner places some vintage wares next to the "newer" things so you can actually picture them in your home. If you are on a tight budget then a card by Darling Clementine or a postcard from Marloes Kroeze will indeed brighten up your day, which is what I did!

de Weldaad - Home store in Amsterdam

Every time I'm walking around the 9 streets for some reason I always find myself looking in this store. Maybe it is the "wunderkammer" type of decoration that appeals to me, or maybe the little knick knacks that are placed throughout so you can discover them. Maybe it reminds me of something...

In any case if you are ever here, do take a look inside, it is just very pretty cool! If you can't make it they have a web shop too.

A Lovely Store in Amsterdam - Bon Bon Boutique

I've been in this lovely store, Bon Bon Boutique, a couple of times (don't know why I didn't think of doing a post before). It is a really nice place to wonder around (most probably you won't leave empty handed). It is organized in such a way that makes you look at every corner, shelf and table (all beautiful by the way). Very well curated by the owner who displays mostly things by locals. A good amount of the store goes to jewelry but you get your fix of nice prints, tote bags, post cards, ceramics and even paper lamps!

Here you'll find pieces by artist such as Depeapa, Kim Welling and Het Paradijs just to mention a few. For a full  list of all artist and more go to their web, and if you're here in Amsterdam make sure to stop by!
