Travel Essentials

Am I the only one who is curious about what people carry in their bags? I especially like to see what people carry when they travel. When they show these things in magazines it is almost always a celebrity or an actor's bag. So, it is usually not what we mere mortals would carry in ours, but sometimes there are plenty of nice tips out there.

This is what I always carry with me. These are my essentials, what I know I need, and what I've missed when I've forgotten to take it. I think a traveling bag is quite personal. You might not like tea for instance. Some people are pretty happy with what they offer up in the air. The toothbrush and toothpaste have their own little bag, as you can see.

Everything up there fits perfectly in my suede pouch, even the dinosaur (a gift from my older son, back when he was 3, he thought it would keep me company, and yes, he has!).

And the little suede pouch is part of bigger complex. I never travel without music, notebooks, camera, magazines that can be left behind and a scarf. As of late, I carry yarn and a crochet needle, so far I haven't encountered any problems with it. The only thing missing here is food (nuts, fruit, and cookies).
NOTE: This I carry when I travel alone. If I travel with my kids, my bag is all about them and their needs, not mine.
So tell me, what do you always carry with you? What item is your absolute must when you travel?

Have a great and relaxing Sunday!

  2. A notebook with two colored pens, toothbrush and toothpaste (now even more with a sister being a dentist) and a small virgin mary medal that my grandma gave me when i was a kid to keep me safe on trips. I am not religious at all but this medal is very important to me!

I carry many other stuff but these three are more important than the passport.

    1. Notebooks and pens are very important in my bag as well, but if I travel with my kids I tend to leave it behind, priorities change I guess!

  3. Love to see what's in your travel bag! I do the same when traveling: lots of pouches and small bags. Also a few empty ones to keep "new" stuff (or tickets, cards etc.) together. The nice teeth pouch is so pretty!

    1. Pouches and small bags are the best. I'm going to try with empty ones! The tooth brush pouch is from a store called Nice things from Spain!
