Natsuko Kitamura at the Japanese Culture Center in Amsterdam

The other day I was lucky enough to pass by and go in at the Japanese Culture Center.  This time (and only for a few days more) they have the amazing work of Natsuko Kitamura. The exhibition is called "OMIYAGE' which means souvenir in Japanese. After she spent one month here in Amsterdam this is what she "took back" from the city, and left it here for us to see. Very nice souvenirs, I must say!

I loved the way she got inspired by the most mundane objects and transformed them into beautiful things. And what is not to love about Ms. Bitter Ballen or Mr. Kroket??

If you are here in Amsterdam go take a look. A bread bag from the Albert Heijn never looked better!
